Headway is a charity that specialises in supporting people with a brain injury. They can provide advice about living with brain damage and the many aspects of life that this affects.

‘A network of over 100 local Groups and Branches throughout the UK offers a wide range of services, including rehabilitation programmes, carer support, social re-integration, community outreach and respite care. The services available will vary, depending on local needs and resources.’

The Brain Tumour Charity

The Brain Tumour Charity offer a wide range of services, including support for sufferers, pointers to local support groups and advice about treatment and new research.  It is the UK’s largest dedicated brain tumour charity, funding scientific and clinical research into brain tumours.

Brain Tumour Action

Brain Tumour Action are based in Scotland and provide support and counselling. They run a number of support groups which meet in Scotland, and throughout the UK. There is a discussion group on their website.

Brain and Spine Foundation

The Brain and Spine Foundation provide information and support for people affected by neurological conditions, their relatives, and also health professionals. The helpline is staffed by neuroscience health professionals. They also have free booklets available on a range of neurological conditions, including brain and spinal tumours.

Macmillan Cancer Support

Macmillan provide financial, practical and medical support and objectivise for better cancer care. They provide booklets on cancer and treatments, and have a helpline that provides cancer information and benefits advice.
